To all our customers who would like to take advantage of SRP's rebates on a new AC unit, please see the information below, as there are updates to their current program. These new requirements take effect on November 11, 204. Please visit SRP's website for more information at:
As part of the Department of Energy's (DOE) ongoing efforts to decrease energy consumption in the United States, the SEER, EER, and HSPF ratings were updated
When it comes to tenant build-outs, getting the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system just right is essential for creating a comfortable and functional space. Whether you're setting up a new office, restaurant, retail shop, or even a gymnastics studio, proper HVAC work can make all the difference.
Let's break it down a bit. First, ductwork is a key component of any HVAC system. These are the metal or fiberglass channels that distribute conditioned
It's no secret that Phoenix experiences severe weather in the summer, and your HVAC unit has to work hard to keep up. To make it easier on your unit, we offer whole-house re-ducting. This is where the home is evaluated for any air flow issues or "hot spots," such as that one room you have which never seems to cool down. Also, the ductwork is evaluated to ensure proper sizing, installation, and efficiency of the
Have you heard the news? The refrigerant R-22 is banned, as of 2020!What does this mean for you? Will you need a new AC unit in 2020?
Yes, it is true, the refrigerant R-22 will no longer be allowed to be produced, as of the year 2020.The EPA has determined R-22, which contains chlorine, is detrimental to the ozone layer in our atmosphere. They have mandated a chlorine-free replacement, by the name of R-410A, be used instead.
By now, I think everyone has heard of Pinterest! This electronic pinboard site is incredibly popular and full of creative ideas, ranging from the latest cookie dough recipes (my favorite) to methods on how to upcycle your old toilet paper rolls (my LEAST favorite-nothing says classy like a toilet paper roll wreath on the front door). With all the ideas out there, of course people have pinned tips regarding A/C units. We will look
It's winter in Phoenix! Finally, the daytime temperatures are reasonable, and you can wear boots and jackets at night! This also means you might be thinking about turning on your heater in the early morning or at night, just to take the chill off. Is there anything you need to do before turning it on?
Heat It UP!
Not really! Go ahead and change the setting on your thermostat to "heat," and wait for
Thanks to technology, it is possible to monitor your home's climate control system right from your smartphone! There are several climate control apps which can be linked to your home's thermostat, allowing for easy, remote access to the thermostat. These apps make it possible to lower the air conditioner's temperature when you start your evening commute, meaning you can walk into an already-cooled home. Or, if you are lying in bed on a winter's evening
Clark Heating & Cooling recently completed a huge remodeling job for what will someday be a local restaurant. Local businesses really are the backbone of a community, and getting an empty building ready for a new, locally owned shop is a privilege.
Installation
In our last blog, we talked about tenant improvements, and doing an installation job for a restaurant is similar to this, only on a grand scale! Working on the future restaurant required

Wonderful, wonderful service. We have been working with Clark for a couple of years now. On their recommendation, we had a completely new system and duct work installed and it fixed the airflow issues that were preventing our old system from cooling the house. The house has now been transformed even on the hottest of hot days here in Phoenix. Last Friday Ivan came out to do our regular check up/maintenance for this summer. As always friendly, courteous and explains everything. Thank you to everyone from Clark. I cannot imagine working with any other HVAC company now.

I called RKS at 7am when they opened. No answer, I left a message. I caled Clark at about 8:30am..they said they would come out around 12:00.
RKS finally called when the Clark service men were leaving at about 1:00.
Clark turned out to be great. Very honest. Will use again.

When our AC broke just days before our big vacation, we got a quote from 2 well known AC businesses in the valley. We were so disappointed by them both because they had no quick solution and both were very costly. So I got a referral from a friend and called Clark Heating and Cooling and within minutes they sent someone over to give us a quote. We were in such a bind, dealing with no AC in 110 degree weather, with a small child and large dog, while trying to leave for our vacation. Clark's heating and cooling did not disappoint! In fact, they returned the next day and fixed our AC for a fraction of the cost. They were so friendly and fair, which my husband and I truly appreciated. They even followed up with us the next day to make sure everything was running okay. They are the best. Thank you all again!

I was in need of an AC last summer (2023). I am a veteran, so I went to Semper Fi to get a a quote. All their ads made them look so great. I was greatly disappointed by the way they treated me and their quote. After giving me "Veteran Discounts" and promises that they only sell American Air and Heating, they tried to sell me a German brand that was priced at over $20,000. The two lower end units were American made and lower. BUT even after over $3,000 discounts they were still at $13,500 and $15,500. I was given the phone number to David Clark from my brother. I called and he came out personally. He gave me a quote for an AC and a little bit of duct work. His total quote was over $3k lower than their lowest quote. A week later I had a York (American Made) AC on my roof. It has been running nice and cool. No problems. This company has given me the check-ups to make sure it runs great. I highly recommend them. In fact, today a co-worker contacted me and asked for a referral. I gave her their number.
